COSHAP is a group representing five occupational health and safety professional associations in Australia.

At
a meeting on the 22nd of August 2001, and with the encouragement of the then
National Occupational Health and Safety Commission, a Memorandum of Agreement was signed by
the presidents of the Australian College of Occupational Health Nurses
Incorporated, the Australasian Faculty of Occupational Medicine,
the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists Incorporated, the Human
Factors and Ergonomics
Society of Australia Incorporated and The Safety Institute of Australia
Incorporated.
The Memorandum approved the establishment of a Committee of Occupational Safety and Health Association Presidents, now termed the Congress of Occupational Safety and Health Association Presidents (COSHAP).
With the establishment of the Australian Safety and Compensation Council in
2005, COSHAP no longer has a direct link with the national OHS body.
